  • The Bike Hub owners have lived in Jersey City for more than a decade, the majority of that time within blocks of the Bike Hub. Buzz and his wife bring their love of cycling and community to the work. Their passion is to make riding accessible to everyone and support every rider’s interests and needs in cycling. They have three young children and are attuned to the needs of families and children. When not at the shop, they love playing in nearby Lincoln Park.

The Bike Hub staff is deeply passionate and knowledgeable about cycling and is available to help new and experienced riders create the best riding experience. Whether for purchases, repairs or group rides, they all believe in creating a big, inclusive tent where all kinds of riders can feel comfortable and together keep building a diverse and vibrant cycling community.

Within days of opening, Buzz started creating opportunities for local cyclists to meet up, as a major motivation in opening a bike shop was to build a welcoming biking community where cyclists could provide each other support and camaraderie. Whether for a couple of laps around Lincoln Park or for a couple of hours of trail riding at a local state park, the Bike Hub is creating spaces space for connections. Learn more here.

    aboutus2

The Bike Hub owners have lived in the neighborhood for many years and loved the community spirit and diversity of the area, so they decided to join the established and emerging businesses that are making the Monticello corridor the preeminent shopping district it once was. In keeping with the redevelopment vision to create a “neighborhood shopping district with an arts overlay,” they redesigned the retail space and have brought in unique and artistic bicycle creations to complement the lines of more traditional bicycles they carry. Because we are in an Urban Enterprise Zone, you also get to enjoy 3.5% sales tax on all of your purchases.

Come see us! We are directly across the Hudson River from Manhattan, 2 miles from the Holland Tunnel and less than 1 mile from the Journal Square PATH station. We also offer pickup and delivery for repairs, click here for more info

The Bike Hub was founded on the ideals of making the community better through outreach and cycling. Which is exactly why in 2016 we launched The Bike Hub Children's Project, to promote the fun & healthy benefits of cycling. And as of August 2017, we've given away over 100 bikes to underprivileged kids in the community. We want riding bikes to be an outlet for kids the same way it was for all of us at The Bike Hub.

If you have an old bike you no longer want, donate it to us! We accept all children's bikes as donations! If you don't have an old bike but still want to join the movement we accept donations via PayPal. 100% of your donation goes towards buying, assembling, fixing, and tuning up children's bikes!

Can't donate? Don't sweat it! There are plenty of awesome ways to join the movement. As one of goals we love to promote an active lifestyle, so why not join us on one of our rides? We have group rides every other Saturday from our shop to the GW bridge and back. Check our events calendar below for a full list our upcoming rides and for more info about our half century on September 24th!
